FOX的《24小时》重启剧集《24小时：遗产》由Howard Gordon、Manny Coto及Evan Katz执行制片，Corey Hawkins饰演男主角Eric Carter， 新角色Eric Carter背景为一个军队英雄回到美国后，麻烦跟随他来到美国，因此令他找上CTU的协助，并且阻止可能是美国本土最大型的恐怖袭击。Eric Carter过去十分粗暴，不过后来加入了陆军游骑兵，在剧中回到弗吉尼亚州找妻子Nicole，但一回到本土就遇上麻烦。《24小时：遗产》缘用该剧的一集为「真实一小时」的制式。
