本剧改编自韩国电影《青年警察》，讲述了警校内智力超群的理论派优等生本间快（中岛），与性格直率、感情用事的行动派一之濑次郎（平野），性格相反的两人运用在警校所学的知识，伤痕累累地合作解决悬案的故事。
影片根据“英国惊悚小说天王”李查德的小说《完美嫌犯》改编。
