该剧已经被FX预订首集，SOA的灵魂人物Kurt Sutter将和Elgin James一起写剧本，也将执导首集，而Sutter表示该剧与SOA在基调、节奏和故事讲述上都会是不同的，他还透露为什么不是自己独挑大梁：“我作为一个泽西州来的白人，来讲述这个拉丁文化和传统的故事不太恰当，我想找到一个有力的、独特的拉丁之声来运作这个故事，Elgin James就是这个人了。”
