在衍生剧《私人诊所 Private Practice》剧终四年后，ABC于上年五月时预订另一部《实习医生格蕾 Greys Anatomy》衍生剧《19号消防局 Station 19》，现定於美国时间3月22日首播。由Shondaland制片﹑《实习医生格蕾》制作人 Stacy McKee执笔的衍生剧背景在西雅图消防局，讲述一群英勇的消防员，上至队长下至菜鸟的他们冒着自己生命安全去拯救民众。Jaina Lee Ortiz饰演衍生剧女主角Andy Herrera，而《实习医生格蕾》的角色Ben Warren医生（Jason George饰）会先继续在母剧出场，然后转往衍生剧里。Grey Damon饰演消防副队Jack Gibson，Okieriete Onaodowan﹑Danielle Savre﹑Barrett Doss及Jay Hayden依次序饰演消防员Dean Miller﹑Maya Bishop﹑Victoria Hughes及Travis Montgomery。Miguel Sandoval饰演消防队长Pruitt Herrera， Alberto Frezza饰演警官Ryan Tanner。
