以系列第二部MMORPG《最终幻想14》为契机根据真实事件改编，《光之父亲》计划（光のお父さん）是日本游戏博客「一撃确杀SS日记」的博主搞出的一个企划，这个博客就是专门写写自己玩各种游戏感受的个人博客，而《光之父亲》计划就是他将自己60多岁的老爸先拉到FF14的这个坑中，因为他的老爸本来就挺喜欢玩游戏，所以很轻松的就把老爸拉了进来，但是他自己并没有公开和自己的父亲组队，而是用自己的游戏账号和父亲在游戏中成为了朋友一起冒险一起刷本，等到和老爹一起组队打败了巴哈姆特大迷宫邂逅篇5层的BOSS后，这位博主跳了出来和自己的老爸说其实我就是你儿子。光之父亲这个名字也是源自FF中的光之战士。
