Hulu直接预订10集新剧《塔影蜃楼 The Looming Tower》，该剧根据普利策得奖者Lawrence Wright所著一书《塔影蜃楼：基地组织与通住9·11之路 The Looming Tower:Al-Qaeda and the Road to 9/11》 改篇。该项目由奥斯卡提名编剧Dan Futterman及奥斯卡与艾美得奖者Alex Gibney负责，他们与Lawrence Wright同为执行制片。《塔影蜃楼》将描述本·拉登及基地组织是如何崛起，幷成为了威胁，以及以争议性的角度，讲述美国方CIA与FBI之间的竞争，无意中助长了9·11悲剧的降临，以及日后的伊拉克战争。（P.S：上年是9·11的15周年）Tahar Rahim饰演年轻的FBI探员Ali Soufan，FBI高层干部John O’Neill的I-49 反恐部队的成员，由于他的才智﹑流利的阿拉伯语和理解伊斯兰教，因而迅速成为John O’Neill的门徒。Ali因为美国敌人曲解他的宗教而感到愤怒，因此不惜一切，甚至在极端分子之间卧底来阻止灾难发生。Jeff Daniels饰演John O’Neill，纽约FBI反恐部门主管，他确信美国已经成为基地组织的攻击目标，但他面临其他部门，尤其是CIA对他们不合作的问题。
