《太祖王建》，韩国电视剧，讲述高丽太祖王建在位时的事迹。他原是后高句丽建国者弓裔的将领，家族是朝鲜半岛西南岸专门作贸易和商业活动的豪族，在9世纪末到10世纪初，在朝鲜分裂和混乱达到极点，国家统一成为燃眉之急的课题。由于当时摩震国的国家领导人弓裔施行暴政，朝鲜人民怨声载道，王建趁机和几个志同道合的臣子一起于公元918年发动政变，驱逐弓裔，建立了新的王朝，并定都于开京，把国名定为高丽。后来在公元935年4月吞并新罗及公元936年9月吞并百济，实现了国家的统一。
