《半生缘,一世情》是根据台湾作家四小花旦之一林晓筠的同名小说改编的民初电视剧, 蓝洁瑛和杨庆煌扮演一对因自由恋爱而结合的夫妻。故事发生在民国时期的一户传统而又封建的有钱人家，郭世豪（杨庆煌饰）是家里的唯一的儿子，但是个性软弱摇摆,其家庭背景传统而封建,其妻李秀如（蓝洁瑛饰）是一个知识女性毕业于师范大学，可是嫁入郭家多年没有生下一儿半女,郭母强行为世豪取妾赵美娟（狄莺饰）,可是赵美娟后来因难产而死，郭母又为世豪纳了第三房姨太太，虽然郭世豪仍爱着李秀如，但是性格的软弱使他不能好好保护深爱着的妻子，一次偶然，李秀如被人陷害，被迫离开郭家，从此在一家学校教书，抗战爆发后，郭家遭奸人所害，郭世豪带着两房妾室所生的一儿一女一路逃难，一路寻找李秀如，此时李秀如在战地孤儿院任教，专门收养那些在战争中失去亲人的孤儿，郭世豪终于找到秀如，但是却已身染重病，在李秀如的陪伴下度过了最后的日子。战争结束了，李秀如带着一儿一女回到了家乡，开办了一所孤儿院。
