《做饭的男人》是一部讲述在这个满是离婚、不婚、同居不结婚的时代，家庭陷入崩垮危机的中年男女们，为了找回家庭幸福所展开一连串故事的电视剧，由曾拍摄《爱情万万岁》、《百年的遗产》等电视剧的朱成宇导演执导，曾编写《爱情万万岁》、《女王之花》的朴贤珠编剧执笔。

本剧中，妈妈姐姐弟弟妹妹把全部的家务都交给小学生美子，她厌烦的过着每一天。因为想从无趣的现实中逃脱，她站到了某样东西的前面——那就是哥哥扭蛋机，只要投入硬币，就可以召唤出哥哥。哥哥分为S级、A级、B级等的不同级别。美子小小的手拿着硬币，投进去一扭，美子说，我想要一个温柔的哥哥。从那天起美子的世界全然改变了。因为她得到了许多哥哥，总是笑着的哥哥，帅气的哥哥，看起来有点恐怖却总是默默守护的哥哥······梦幻般的哥哥不断出现。美子最终究竟会选择哪个哥哥呢——这是一部比选老公更认真，寻找理想哥哥的极致幻想曲。
